Volunteers will work as the assistant teacher in the class. The local English teacher will work together with volunteer, in order to make sure the quality of project. You will be required to make a teaching plan with lesson plans using the learning materials provided to ensure continuity in learning from the teachers before and after you. Although most of students have studied English in the past, it is unlikely they know how to speak and listen properly. Due to this, volunteers are expected to give students topics to encourage them to discuss, express their opinions and speak English more openly in class. However, developing writing skill is also essential for them. With permission from the school, volunteers may also arrange their own activities for the students to join and have fun together. Volunteers can also contribute by participating in the school’s English club by joining its monthly outgoing and camping activities to communicate with students. The timetable will be given on arrival after orientation training. The standard working schedule will be from Monday to Friday, from 09:00am to 03:00pm with two hours in between for a lunch break. Volunteers will work around 15 – 25 hours per week at the project
