In this program, interested individuals, students, tourists, professionals, organizations, and other groups can give support by contributing funds and materials or by getting involved themselves in construction programs, whilst simultaneously touring different areas of Nepal. Most of the schools, orphanages and health centers in Nepal do not have basic physical infrastructure such as toilets, proper classrooms, playgrounds, libraries, or even drinking water. Therefore, children and the overall local community face many problems and often find it difficult to get service from institutions. We provide interested institutions with participants who are ready to help to build basic infrastructures and other desperately needed improvements. The aim is to rebuild the damaged institutions such that the children can come back to attend schools and rebuild their future.

You will be living with host families. You will be accommodated in rooms that can allocate 2-4 people based on a single-gender basis and you will be sharing the bathroom with your roommates. There is no library at the host families. The dining room is part of the kitchen and a lounge area overlooking these mountains. The life style is basic so the bedroom and dining are very simple too. The smoke from the kitchen can give a rural firewood kitchen feel. Furthermore, there is no refrigerator to store food and beverages. Safety lockers are available. They have no Wi-Fi at their houses. One can use the data card for the internet uses. You will be provided with three meals a day on weekdays and two meals per day on weekends. You will be serving breakfast at 8 am in the host family. Whereas, Lunch is prepared on the construction site by 12:30 pm and dinner in the host family back home at 7:30 in the evening. The meal is called as brunch which is a combo of rice, lentil and green seasonal vegetables. You can also use the kitchen facilities to cook for yourself.

Almost close to the earthquake epicenter, and affected by the disaster, Sikdel is a beautiful tiny village hamlet nestled in the Himalayas. ATM: There are no ATM around in the village. The closest one is in Dhulikhel and Banepa. Shop: The closest local shop is a 2 hours walk from the house. There are not many options. The only option is to travel to Kathmandu during the weekend or go for hiking in the mountain in Matte.
