The trip starts just north of the city of Pokhara and winds through the Poon Hill area and then passes the many cultural and beautiful landscape of mid hill region. Along the Ghorepani Trek, you will be visiting of the best panoramic spot on planet “Poon Hill” from where you will get chance amazing views of whole Annapurna and Dhaulagiri massifs. Ghorepani Trek leads you to explore typical culture of Annapurna region and their local lifestyle. The entire trails of Ghorepani Trek also takes you to see many natural wild flowers, especially rhododendrons, which bloom in spring. Overall, this trek gets you to experience many things about Nepal and the route is suitable for every level of experience as it is one of the lower elevation treks that we offer rising to only 3200m Poon Hill atop. The aim of this program is to bring you closer to the authentic Nepal and the majestic Himalayas and truly immerse you in the Nepali culture, customs and lifestyle.


The participants will stay overnight in local Tea – Houses along the trail. The rooms at the guesthouses will accommodate 2 to 4 people on sharing basis, single gender. Single rooms are available if booked in advance and at extra cost. Meals will be provided three times a day during the week and twice during the weekend (breakfast and lunch combine to become brunch during the weekend). Food served will be vegetarian food with meat served once a week. Weekends are free to relax, and to explore the local area.


Pokhara, ATM’s: There are no ATM?s near by. Enough money can be withdrawn at Kathmandu or Pokhara Local supermarket – Pokhara Personal SIM card for your mobile: You can buy at the local shop in Kathmandu or Pokhara. Solar power avabilable at guest houes to charge your phones and cameras or any other electronic devices No Wi-Fi. Internet can be used via your mobile phone SIM card data plan.


Program participant criteria: Due to the length and active nature of this program, a decent level of fitness is required. Additional equipment: Shoes suitable for hiking. Some warm clothes for when you are in the northern, cooler parts of Nepal. Open all year, starting on Mondays, arrival on Sundays and departure on Saturday morning, participation fee 350€ per week. Program runs Mon-Fri, (free weekends). Compulsory starting dates for 2017: 02/01 – 20/02 – 06/03 – 03/04 – 01/05 – 05/06 – 03/07 07/08 – 04/09 – 02/10 – 06/11 – 04/12.
