GREENLION SRI LANKA
The Sri Lanka Road Trip is an EcoTourism travel project which means it is as environmentally friendly as possible. As part of this unique experience you will visit various distinctive regions and explore their exotic, unique and exciting culture. The road trip includes the worldfamous Dutch Fort in Galle, the Royal Botanical Gardens, a Tea Factory, the Bahirawakanda Buddha statue and the town of Nuwara Eliya known as “Little England” for its’ colonial British architecture. Enjoy an overnight stay at a temple with talks on Buddhist philosophy, natural Ayurveda treatment, a boat trip along the Madu Ganga, the famous 14th century ‘Three Temples’ with their intricate handcarvings. It does not end here! You will also stay overnight at a Buddhist temple and listen to talks on Buddhist philosophy, experience Ayurvedic treatment and a boat trip along the Madu Gaga, visit the famous ‘Three temples’, practice Yoga and meditation and spend a week volunteering at any one of the several volunteer projects we have to offer. The first week you will be introduced to Sri Lanka wherein you will witness cultural dance and music performances by artists, visit famous Buddhist and Hindu temples, learn Sri Lankan culinary, knowledge on culture and traditions and much more! On your second week you will be taken on trekking tour for 5 days into the beautiful mountains of Kandy where you will get to experience the wonderful beauty of flora and fauna of Sri Lanka. On the third week, we take you to the south eastern part of Sri Lanka where you will spend the remaining 5 days where you will visit ancient temples by tuk tuk or vans, relax by the pristine beach, go on a river safari, work at our very own turtle conservation project, visit Galle, and also visit a mine jewellery! The aim of this program is to bring you closer to the authentic Sri Lanka . Through different projects and activities, you will get to truly immerse yourself in the culture, customs and lifestyle.

Due to the length and active nature of this program, a decent level of fitness is required. Additional equipment: Shoes suitable for hiking. Open all year, starting on Mondays, arrival on Sundays and departure on Saturday morning, participation fee 1050€ for 3 weeks (minimum duration). Program runs Mon-Fri, (free weekends). Compulsory starting dates for 2017: 02/01 – 06/02 – 06/03 – 03/04 – 01/05 – 05/06 – 03/07 – 07/08 – 21/08 – 04/09 – 18/09 – 02/10 – 06/11 – 04/12. Reception at BIA (Bandaranayake International Airport) on Saturdays and Sundays
