TRAVAIL

The centre provides food and shelter for elderly women who, without this project, would be living on the street. Misionarios de San Jose gives the "abuelitas" (grannys) a home where they are surrounded by love and warmth. Foundations such as Misionarios de San Jose are special because the elderly are often ignored in Ecuador. They provide three daily meals, housing and activities such as knitting or singing for the women. Volunteer tasks: Feed, talk to, and accompany elderly women. If a volunteer has a special skill (plays a musical instrument, dance, etc.) the volunteer can start his or her own activities with the women.
