ICYE India OOTY CHILDREN?S HOME is a project of “WE SERVE CHARITABLE TRUST”, Reg?d, Bangalore, and serves abused, neglected, abandoned, wayward, or orphaned children and teens. We provide a holistic approach to this service with emphasis on to the all round growth of the child in a safe and secure environment.
We as a group concerned with social economical and political jurisdiction are trying our level best to elevate them from this level that is constitutor for the social economic and spiritual care. We provide not only food, shelter and clothing but also an arena of growth in the self respected regime. Anyone who reaches at or interacts with our children can notice a space that has already been provided to grow by themselves. Anyone who participates and contributes in our endeavour of human endowment will be considered as someone great. As a volunteer, you will take part in Gardening, Assisting teaching in English, Science, Reading Indian democracy, Religions, Culture, and Environment. Assisting Children’s needs. Playing with children.
The volunteer will live in host project in her/his own room. Food will be Provided by the host project.
The organisation is located at Dharmapuri Dist Matlambatti. It’s situated 150 km away from Bangalore city. The localities of area Majority families are middle level economical groups. The people are helpful to the institution.
The volunteer should be Mature, committed, friendly, patient, enthusiastic and able to deal with children. The participant should bring Mosquito repellent (can be bought in Bangalore), Light warm clothes for rainy weather and winter, Games, toys or ideas for activities for the children. The ICYE programme started in India in 1983. Inter Cultural Dialogue &Exchange – India, (ICDE – India), founded in 2006 by a group of former ICYE volunteers is a secular organisation, with its main office in Bangalore, Karnataka, India.
Voluntary service host placements, mostly in Karnataka and adjacent South Indian states, include homes for street children, orphanages, disabled, old age homes, people with HIV/AIDS, health care, agriculture / farming, women’s projects, rural and community development, etc. ICYE India, upon request, offers opportunities to learn/study yoga, Indian music and Indian classical dance, music, herbal medicine, Indian philosophy, spirituality.
