ICYE Kenya – STEPS MID TERM PROGRAMME
Brief description and main aims To provide animal products to the local community. Main Activities Feeding the horses, cows and chicken Cleaning the stables and sheds, Giving medication to the cows, horses and chicken on rotational basis. Volunteer tasks Feeding the animals Cleaning the cow sheds Taking the horses for a walk. Medicare Any other ideas as suggested by the volunteer.

Nakuru, Kenya. Two hour drive from Nairobi City. The community is located in Nakuru. It is cold in the early mornings but the weather gets warmer as the day goes by. Nakuru is made up of both low and middle income earners. The people in Nakuru engage in local businesses to make a living.

The ICYE programme started in Kenya in 1989. ICYE Kenya is a registered NGO. It is composed of returnees, volunteers and a two-staff team working at the national office, located in Nairobi.
Voluntary service projects include assisting teachers in rural schools, working with the disabled, with street children, in the health service, on farms and in orphanages. Participants with professional skills like psychology, carpentry, typing, nursing, agriculture or languages might have access to other types of work placements.
