Family and smallholder farms are the primary resource for income and food supply for households in many parts of the country. They account for 90% of domestic food supply in Mozambique. In this program, you will get the chance to experience the authentic countryside of Mozambique by living amongst locals and helping out in village farms. Your tasks will include cutting and cleaning up grassy areas around the farm, planting, watering, picking fruits, helping take care of the livestock and overall community work depending on what is needed at the time.
