TRAVAIL

Organize activities for disadvantaged children who live illegally in the Red river and at the school nearby Youth center. Volunteers will be divided into small teams to do different tasks: Cooking team: this team will be in charge of cooking for the whole group in 1 day including breakfast, lunch and dinner. The team also has to prepare leisure activities in the evening (games, exchange culture activities) Working team: This team can be divided into smaller teams to work: organize activities, decorate, perform, and cleaning up depending on the detailed requirements of the project.

LOGEMENT &NOURRITURE

Volunteers will stay at the volunteer house. Food will cook by themselves. Volunteers will have lunch at the YC with children and the other volunteers. Vietnamese food is considered as easy to eat but if you have special diet, please inform in advance.

SITUATION

You will have free time in the evenings and during weekend. During those free moments you can travel to discover further wonders of Vietnam! Located in northern Vietnam, Hanoi is the capital of the country. A thousand years old city, on the banks of the Red River, with about 4 million inhabitants, Hanoi counts many colorful districts including the French styled Old Quarter near Hoan Kiem lake, the modern New Quarter, and the more touristic Tay Ho area.

• Abbility to do manual work. • Willing to work and stay in remote ?ea • Strong inter-personal skills, and experience in working with a wide variety of people, cultural sensitivity. • Commitment to volunteerism, considerable experience as a volunteer • High motivation, ready to live as local people (basic accommodations, transport by bus or bicycle, local food) and ready to be in face of many difficulties such as language and culture difference, low budget, etc. • Be patient and sympathetic with the disadvantaged children • Should follow some rules of the Youth Center
