Friendly school teachers will provide guidance and lesson plans for you based on their curriculum, but you will also have the chance to take part in informal group activities involving games, colouring, books, toys etc, all with the goal of improving the local children’s English. — Program Description : If you love teaching and being with children, experiencing Zimbabwe as a community teacher is something you will really enjoy! You will be teaching in primary, secondary, or high schools in the Rusape area and will have plenty of guidance working together with local teachers while following their school curriculum. But it’s not always so formal, and in fact it’s the informal interactions with them that will have the most impact! Simply by having someone to practice with and prompt conversations in english, you’ll be able to help them work on their pronunciation and vocabulary.
