Podere Pompone is a family-run farm located in the hillside of Tuscany. The Podere is looking forward to welcome volunteers to share information about what is behind the traditional work of wine-making. They would take the occasion to share their experience of producing wine maintaining a relation of harmony with their own land.

TRAVAIL

Hand-picking of grapes or cleaning and maintenance of the vineyard in case the grape is not fully ripe at the time of the work camp (which should be but is unpredictable and it depends on the weather in the next months). The job will be explain by experienced locals. The work will start early in the morning (8.00) to avoid the hot temperatures of mid day. Ideally volunteers will work for up to 6 hours. Volunteers will learn all about wine production and natural organic management of a vineyard! They will visit, together with the host, the local wine cooperative and learn about wine production in the region.

LOGEMENT &NOURRITURE

Accommodation will be in shared tents in the farm’s area. There is a bathroom that is furnished with hot water showers. Volunteers will cook together with the host or food will be prepared by themselves according to the schedule of the day.

SITUATION

During the days and evenings there will be many moments to stay together and enjoy the beauty of the place. The surrounding countryside is a beautiful place to explore (hiking).
