Wheel Power Challenge is founded based on the inspiration from a barrier free workcamp in Switzerland. A young physiotherapist, Ms Sarah Chu along with other friends founded this organization with the aim to promote a barrier free community in Hong Kong. Wheel Power Challenge embraces the values for diversity, and promote community works for social enhancement. [Official Website: https://wheelpowerchallenge.blogspot.hk/]

This is a new project initiated by Hong Kong volunteers, who is inspired by the Switzerland barrier free workcamp. While Hong Kong has one of the most developed transportation system in the world, its barrier-free facility across the city still has room for improvement. This project thus aims to promote the concept of an inclusive community that accommodates the needs of people with disabilities. Part of the project also allows workcampers to experience the daily difficulties faced by physically challenged individuals. This serves as a learning opportunity for workcampers to truly understand that our physical differences do not limit our potential or ability to involve in activities. 1. Collect data about barrier-free facilities in local community 2. Prepare for and participate in social inclusion activities 3. Assistance to campsite activities 4. Carry out community research on people with disabilities in Hong Kong 5. Participate in community activities
