CCCT is a subdivision of the Municipal Direction for protection of child’s rights. As beneficiaries of the Centre can be persons with physical (children with age between 7 and 18 and youth with age between 19 – 30), parents and tutors and children of the Chisinau’s district Botanica. — The Centre develops activities in order to achieve the following objectives: a) achieving the change in the mindset on the children with disabilities b) reducing the phenomenon of marginalization and social exclusion of the disadvantaged categories c) social integration of the children and youth with disabilities d) prevention of the institutionalization of the children and youth with physical disabilities e) prevention of the family breakup which have children with disabilities.
Volunteers offer their support through a range of personal, social and learning / performing arts activities: assisting in the artistic workshops; organization of sport and leisure activities; offering personal support to the beneficiaries; development of the personal workshops. Working hours: 4-6 hours/day.
There are different types of accommodation: 1/ A bedroom in the host family; 2/A bedroom in a flat out side of the project where 2-6 volunteers live together. It depends on the availability of the places for the time of your application. Volunteers receive food allowance.
Project is situated in the suburb area of the capital of Moldova – Chisinau. Chisinau is the main administrative, economic, scientific and cultural centre of Moldova. The city has just over 700,000 inhabitants and the whole metropolitan area is roughly one million inhabitants. In terms of number of inhabitants, Chisinau is the largest city of the country. Chisinau is divided in five administrative sectors; Botanica, Buiucani, Center, Ciocana and Riscani. It is often referred to as the greenest city in Europe due to the high proportion of well maintained green spaces. —
We would like to host volunteers who: – want to get involved in the social and cultural integration of children from different cultural andbackgrounds ; who want to learn Romanian/Russian in an active way ; who want to learn intercultural competences ; who want to work with children in diverse areas ; who like to work in a team. — 400 EUR one month, 100 EUR for every additional week. Minimum 2 weeks, Maximum 16 weeks — Check list –what you need to bring with you: Bed clothes and towels; Warm clothes and good, waterproof shoes in case of winter; Some information about your country: pictures, maps, books, coins, recipes, etc; Small gifts from your country to give to people in your host project.
