ICTPD is an NGO with a misssion“To assist the development of the organizations, leaders and professionals with the help of the modern educational technologies and effective methods of training". ICTPD has a comparatively long history as an organization. It has first started working as a part of the Institute of Social and Community workers and then, starting from 2003 was working as a separate organization. In 2011 ICTPD has got an international status. ICTPD has a possibility to collaborate with world famous organizations such as WJR, JDC, ORT, Peace Corps. Our organization is involved in many kinds of educational programs. One of the main directions is professional development and social assistance to the unemployed and socially vulnerable population. We also work with youth and students to promote tolerance in our multiethnic and multicultural society. In addition we organize training in the field of business, management, psychology in Russian, Romanian and English.


ICTPD volunteers are usually interested in working with people and in teaching. Volunteers get acquainted with educational and training techniques. They are encouraged to develop and perform new methods of training and teaching as well as creating and writing their own projects. At the same time there are everyday tasks like preparation of the course materials for the programs that are running. — Main Goals of the project. In July : – To introduce volunteer to organization – To teach volunteer the basics of Didactics and process of acquiring knowledge and skills by students – To give volunteer an opportunity to practice teaching – To teach volunteer basics of project writing and fundraising – To develop an idea for a educational project – Introduction to programs: “English for Communication”, “Business Planning and Experience Exchange”. – Work meetings on course curriculum programs: “English for Communication”, “Business Planning and Experience Exchange”. – Meetings with volunteers that have taught these courses. Discussions, experience exchange. – Understanding cultural differences and language interference. In August : – Preparation to course start. – Course advertisement and promotion – Help and support of other activities of ICTPD depending on the need. In September : – Preparation to course start. – Organizational meeting and testing for future students – Start of the program “English for Communication”. In October : – Program “English for Communication” is running. – Midterm meeting and discussion on program and participants. Discussions, basing on the current situation and requirements. – Benchmarking for project idea – Looking for potential funding sources. — In all of the mentioned activities volunteer will be supporting staff members and supported by staff member in volunteer activities.


There are different types of accommodation: 1/ A bedroom in the host family; 2/ A bedroom in a flat out side of the project where 2-6 volunteers live together. It depends on the availability of the places for the time of your application. – Volunteers receive food allowance


Project is situated in the suburb area of the capital of Moldova – Chisinau. Chisinau is the main administrative, economic, scientific and cultural centre of Moldova. The city has just over 700,000 inhabitants and the whole metropolitan area is roughly one million inhabitants. In terms of number of inhabitants, Chisinau is the largest city of the country. Chisinau is divided in five administrative sectors; Botanica, Buiucani, Center, Ciocana and Riscani. It is often referred to as the greenest city in Europe due to the high proportion of well maintained green spaces.


The volunteer will bring his/her experiences from another culture and the process of getting familiar with Moldovan society to the everyday work and life. — Check list –what you need to bring with you: Bed clothes and towels; Warm clothes and good, waterproof shoes in case of winter; Some information about your country: pictures, maps, books, coins, recipes, etc; Small gifts from your country to give to people in your host project. — 400 EUR one month, 100 EUR for every additional week. Minimum 2 week, Maximum 16 weeks
