Exchange your culture and help to get life skills learn and improve the life of indigenous children and youngsters The goal of this project is to share culture with indigenous children and indigenous youngsters to get life skills and tools to improve life quality promoting respect and mutual learning and growth.

TRAVAIL

Volunteers with university students of Puebla will organize workshops of crafts, recycling, ornamental and botanical gardening, dance, painting, elaboration of international dishes, you will also help in the construction of gardens, put in practice the cultural exchange through the dance and language workshops, volunteers will help in cleaning activities and maintenance of the Houses of the Indigenous Children. This project is the perfect opportunity to learn Spanish and some indigenous languages!. By participating in this project, you will acquire the global skills of Adaptability, Global Awareness, Strategic Thinking and Collaborative Planning, after the participation in the project volunteers will receive an official letter certifying these skills

LOGEMENT &NOURRITURE

Volunteers will be hosted in a private house with all facilities, kitchen, dining room, sleeping rooms, place to wash clothes and hot water, there are no beds so please bring an air mat and sleeping bag.

SITUATION

Zacapoaxtla is located in the northern part of the State of Puebla and it has 8062 inhabitants. Located 172 km from the capital of the state which is also called city of Puebla. The camp is very close to wonderful places, you can visit archaeological sites such as Cuetzalan and Cantona as well as enjoy cultural diversity in museums and in magical villages and then ecotourism in marvelous caves and waterfalls, there will also be time to visit Puebla City, the capital of the state of Puebla and many more places. This camp is open for youngsters who have sensibility and open minded to emphasize about the situation and the realities of indigenous communities, the rural life conditions and be respectful for the indigenous culture and wisdom.

Vive Mexico was officially established in March 1997 as a non-profit, non-governmental organization recognized by the Mexican laws and authorities as a volunteer’s organization.
Founded in 1994 and legally constituted in 1997, Vive Mexico was born as an initiative of students from the Economics Faculty at the Michoacan University. It is the first organization legally constituted in Mexico and had became the biggest organization in Latin America dedicated to promote international co-operation and the development of the International Voluntary Service Activities.
Vive Mexico has great experience in the development of international voluntary service projects in Mexico and Latin America. It had been coordinating short, medium and long term projects since 1994 as well as special co-operations between Mexico and more than 45 countries of the world.
It had also coordinated a wide variety of seminars and congresses as well as leader trainings to help in the creation of international initiatives to promote the International Voluntary Service in Mexico and Latin America.
