Remarque

Volunteers will have food and hosting provided during the whole duration of the project. Volunteers participating in MTV projects will receive a training for intercultural learning and a Spanish course in the city of Morelia before starting the project in the project site, due to lack of communal resources for this camp we ask participants to contribute 200 Euro towards the costs of general administration. This fee hast to be pay upon arrival in Morelia city.

Share everything about your culture and be a mentor of young college students! If you are interested to participate as an English teacher in a high school in Mexico, this project is for you! In order to share the culture, language, promote intercultural exchange between Mexico and the world through different activities that allow volunteers to share and inspire young people to learn a second language.

TRAVAIL

Volunteers will be part of the Agricultural Technology Center School No. 158 team and will be facilitators of workshops, classes essentially to practice English language, but also other languages that the volunteer wants to share with driven dynamics. Some of the activities to be developed are: 1. To prepare and provide English classes for the students of Agricultural Technology Center School No. 158. 2. To drive workshops and dynamics to practice language and share their culture in an entertaining way. 3. To promote cultural exchange and international volunteerism 4. To produce creative teaching materials for language classes. Volunteers also will encourage cultural exchange with students, through English speaking clubs. By participating in this project, you will acquire the global skills of Adaptability, Global Awareness, Strategic Thinking and Collaborative Planning, after the participation in the project volunteers will receive an official letter certifying these skills.

LOGEMENT &NOURRITURE

Volunteers will be hosted in a house of a local family with all the facilities: hot water, showers, kitchen, WIFI.

SITUATION

Santo Domingo Zanatepec is a safe town located in the state of Oaxaca in south-western Mexico. The climate is warm and humid with rain in summer and autumn. The main economic activity is cultivation of corn, sorghum, sesame, vegetables and fruit (mango and tamarind). There are archaeological sites close to Zanatepec city. The camp is open for young people who is interested to participate and enjoy a diverse range of activities, an active volunteers who enjoy sharing culture and making new friends! Volunteers must be motivated to be active and working indoors and outdoors.

Vive Mexico was officially established in March 1997 as a non-profit, non-governmental organization recognized by the Mexican laws and authorities as a volunteer’s organization.
Founded in 1994 and legally constituted in 1997, Vive Mexico was born as an initiative of students from the Economics Faculty at the Michoacan University. It is the first organization legally constituted in Mexico and had became the biggest organization in Latin America dedicated to promote international co-operation and the development of the International Voluntary Service Activities.
Vive Mexico has great experience in the development of international voluntary service projects in Mexico and Latin America. It had been coordinating short, medium and long term projects since 1994 as well as special co-operations between Mexico and more than 45 countries of the world.
It had also coordinated a wide variety of seminars and congresses as well as leader trainings to help in the creation of international initiatives to promote the International Voluntary Service in Mexico and Latin America.
