The Green Lion

Learning a different language is never easy…it takes a lot of hard work and study, but through this exchange program we hope to make it easier and fun for you! The best way to learn a language is by immersing yourself in it. That makes the Phillipines a great option within Asia, as English is an official language of the Philippines. It means you will be surrounded by the language you are learning, making it easier for you to engage in English conversations and practice in a realistic setting. The government’s strong focus on the English language is one of the reasons the Philippines is ranked as one of the highest in English proficiency in Asia. It is common for road signs, TV, radio media and printed media to be in English and most of its people are competent in English. Outdoor activities and games will also be big part of your learning, especially considering how beautiful this locations is! You will also learn in a professional classroom environment. Your teachers will be university lecturers and you’ll have the great opportunity to exchange cultures, languages, politics and more with both them, and the students of the university. This exchange program will connect with the rural area by having some of our English classes in rural areas, and by visiting our other ongoing community programs happening around the Palawan area.

About the Accommodation This center houses all participants in their programs around Palawan. It is built with many natural elements and have a tropical beach look to them! You’ll be sleeping on bunk beds and we have limited laundry facilities, so expect to wash your clothes by hand, unless you’d like to use the laundry service here for a small fee. Food Arrangements The food will consist mainly of local Philippine cuisine (lots of vegetables, meat, egg and rice) and will be served on site at this accommodation.

Palawan is a special island dotted with fishing villages and surrounded by beautiful blue sea. The scenes contrasts perfectly with the emerald green jungled mountains which form its landscape. Our accommodation is located in Tigman Village in Aborlan District, a small and laid back area just outside of Puerto Princesa City.
