Many Palawanians support themselves by working in their traditional professions of the region which are mainly fishing and farming . On this program, you will assist local villagers when they go out for fishing, repairing their fishing tools and making fish products like salted fish You will also help the villagers in the fields with: the planting of rice and vegetables, cutting of rice and vegetables and other chores related to working in the fields. The particular activities you end up carrying out will depend a lot on the weather and the season at that point in time. The program is set in the main island of Palawan, where many fisherman villages exist. You will get the chance to get close to locals and learn about their culture and established traditions.
