Malaysia is one of the most culturally diverse countries in the world with full of contrasts, where you meet friendly people from different cultural backgrounds in the vibrant city, beautiful beach villages in the rain forests. The Explore Borneo program is one of the best options for cultural learning and experiences with people living harmoniously with nature, a perfect way to experience the adventurous side of this beautiful rainforest. This program offers adventure, culture, sightseeing and conservation in a span of 2 weeks. For those who want to experience Borneo Fully in the shortest time, this is the best solution for thrill-seekers that cannot stay still. The first week of the program explores the Kuching scenery and learning about local cultures and customs. You will learn about Bahasa, a local language, visit local bazaar, village and markets where you will see traditional art or handicraft by the tribal people. Museum visitation shows you the history of Sarawak. You will also get to visit one of the famous Orangutan conservation site in Borneo. The second week will be the exciting Borneo adventurous experience. You will be thrilled by the flora and fauna only found in Borneo. Prepare to sweat a lot this week, as you will do a lot of jungle trekking tours. A break in between for you to have a guided traditional cooking session. You also get to taste the natural organic ingredients which are sourced from the forests.


About the Accommodation Accommodation is a standard semi-detached house in a residential area called Kali Garden in Kuching. This is one of the typical homes. A small park behind the house is where residents jog and exercise. There is a Malay village and a fishing village within the vicinity. Furthermore, there is a refrigerator which you are welcome to use to store food and beverages. Food Arrangements Malaysian food is tasty and diverse and you can expect to experience a myriad of flavors and meals during their stay. Typical dishes include mee kok lo (noodles and vegetables either dry or soup), nasi goreng (fried rice and vegetables) or roti canai (is a type of Indian influenced flatbread found in Malaysia. Breakfasts are varied and and include toast, cereals, fresh fruit, etc. Tea, coffee and purified water is available at the house. We do not recommend that you drink water straight from the tap.


Sarawak makes access to Borneo’s natural wonders and cultural riches a breeze. Kuching, the capital of Sarawak, is simply unique. No other city in Malaysia has such a romantic and unlikely history, nor displays its charms with such an easy grace. Kuching goes about its own business in a relaxed manner that hasn’t changed in 160 years.
