TRAVAIL

Today when wildlife habitats are under severe pressure and a large number of species of wild fauna have become endangered, the zoos not only sustain their own populations but also augment the depleting populations of endangered species in the wild. As zoos are visited by a large number of visitors, zoos are used as a platform for educating people about the protection of habitat, ecosystems and forests, and maintaining the life supporting processes of nature. Well planned and appropriately designed zoos can sensitize visitors to the dangers of a hostile or indifferent attitude towards nature. This project aims to promote knowledge and understanding of the wild world through the medium of zoos. While Rajasthan is most commonly known for its desert and beautiful palaces, not too far from Udaipur lies a biological park, preserving a natural and sustainable environment for many endangered species. Our Zoo for Education on Wildlife &Habitat Preservation program you to work directly in the Biological Park with the Park Veterinary Doctor &forest rangers and staff. Your work will contribute towards improvement in wildlife data collection and research, promotion of environmental and animal friendly practices for the local villagers and tourists, as well as basic care for wild and rescued animals. The program may be particularly appealing for anyone with an interest in wildlife protection or simply with a desire to spend some time working in a peaceful natural environment, while helping to preserve an area that is home to many animals in need of special protection. You will get an opportunity to work on several options mentioned below depending on the length of your stay, ongoing activities at the zoo as per priority of The Biological Parks’ Working plan &seasonal implications. You will be able to add on to any specific body of work that will be carried forward by the following participants. For better consistency and more benefits for the project, you are likely to be engaged in only as many activities as the project management may decide for you. It is important that you are aware of this important factors and that you do not feel disappointed with the lack of variety in the work that you do. You may ask for your preferred tasks.
