There is a tiny village of 52 people including 10 children somewhere in the Urals. There are no shops, no pharmacy, no school, or hospital there. There is only a brave girl who decided to save this village and put all efforts into its development. In 2013 she organized a successful crowdfunding campaign and managed to build a creme-honey factory and give jobs to 6 people (full-time) and 35 people (seasonal work). It doesn?t only give people some money, but most important – the feeling that they are needed. Profit earned from selling this honey goes to charity and further development of the village. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to stay in a highly authentic Russian village and positively contribute to the local community!
Volunteers are invited to help with building an open-air community center for the villagers where they can gather, discuss, and plan their activities together. Also, volunteers will be involved in helping the local community (cutting grass in the village, planting trees, helping local elderly people, providing cultural workshops for the locals).
Volunteers will be accommodated in a comfortable guest house. They will cook by themselves, according to the daily schedule in the fully equipped kitchen. There will be a regular bathroom with a shower, but also there is an opportunity to visit a traditional Russian banya.
There will be cultural and cooking workshops during free time. Opportunities for fishing, picking up mushrooms and berries in the forest.
There is a bee garden, so it is essential not to be afraid of bees and their bites.
