The Green Lion


First Week : This week introduces you to the culture and people of Nepal. You will be given an orientation and taught about religion, safety, transport, and told about other culturally acceptable practices. You will have a historical orientation tour to Bouddhanath. Visit local market, take yoga and language lessons and a Nepali cooking class. You will also have time to share a bit about your culture with local people. Apart from all the sights you take in, this week will also have you eating lots of delicious Nepali food. Second and Third Week: Everest Trekking is always dream for everyone to put their footsteps on the bottom of Mt Everest Base and explore wonderful landscape of this planet. Everest Trekking region is known as the most popular destination among high alpine travelers. Everest Trekking area generally coves upper part of Solu Khumbu district which is renewed homeland of indigenous Sherpa people together home for Yak and mysterious Yeti. Everest Base Camp Trek goes through Namche and Tengpoche, Dingbuche and Lobuche then heads toward Mt. Everest Base Camp. Exciting suspension bridges hanging over raging rivers and long uphill hiking lets you know your approaching the highest mountain in the world. The entire trek leads through the heartland of the Sherpa people who are the original inhalant of the highland. Together Everest Base Camp Trek passes numerous picturesque typical Sherpa villages and many colorful stupas. Fourth Week: Volunteer to teach at local schools, local kindergarten or Cananine Rehabilitation center Trip Highlights: Introducation and sightseein in Nepal, Explore Everest Base Camp and Khumbu ice fall views from Kalapatthar awe- inspiring, encounter highland Sherpa people’s life style and their unique cultural hospitality, probably one of the world’s most popular destination visit. Everest Base Camp Trek is total mountain adventure journey to roof of the world, opportunities for outstanding photographic and many chaos encounter of typical culture in highland. Among of them along Everest Base Camp Trek take you to visit polar places- Namche Bazar, Tengboche Monastery, Khumjung and Pangboche Sherpa villages; and volunteer at Kathmandu.


About the Accommodation : Along the trekking route you will have overnight stays in hotels/guest houses. More information can be found inside the schedule. Food Arrangements : Mostly Nepalese style dishes (vegetarian and chicken) will be served during the trip.


This route takes you through Dingboche to Lobuche to Gorakshep towards the Everest basecamp.


Due to the length and active nature of this program, a decent level of fitness is required. Air ticket from Kathmandu to Lukla and Lukla to Kathmandu should be purchased by the participant on his/ her own.
