The Green Lion

This program has been developed for passionate, sporty people who would love to introduce and coach sports to the children of disadvantaged township communities in Argentina. You’ll work with local children who otherwise would have little or no access to positive participation in fun and physical activities. The programme allows the children to benefit from the health improvements, emotional wellbeing and greater direct life skills (leadership, communication, teamwork) from participating in structured sports coaching. These children, aged 6 to 17 are always excited and thankful to visiting coaches from overseas who are willing to dedicate time working with them on a daily basis. During your time here you can expect to take part in training them in the rules, motor skills and techniques found in: Tennis Basketball Football Hockey Rugby and/or Baseball For your first week here, you’ll also have the option to take part in an introductory course of 20 hours of Spanish immersion classes. We highly recommend this as it prepare you with specific Spanish vocabulary related to your chosen sport. It also helps get exposed to some of the local Argentinian expressions that you’ll surely come across in your time coaching!
