ICYE India DECCAN FOUNDATION is an independent, Non profit making social service Organization came in to being to address the social, economical, educational, health, environmental and other problems of the society and people to restore their basic rights for education, food, shelter , economic independence, social dignity and national integrity. Our Aim: An equitable management of Human and Natural resources with a major focus on Basic health, education and reconstruction of rural economic system.

TRAVAIL

As our main approach is towards women empowerment, which are ignored and neglected by the society, we have been given a special focus and attention to an integrated development of them. Hence designed and implemented unique projects ensuring women?s active participation in the community development. We have been implementing several development projects related to Education, Community health and hygiene, integrated rural water supply, Women empowerment, Micro finance development, IGP .etc since our creation.

LOGEMENT &NOURRITURE

Host project provides accommodation, food and Security in the staff campus.

SITUATION

DECCAN FOUNDATION located in Kolar and Chikkaballapura districts having its registered office/Head office at Bevahalli village, Padmaghatta post, Mulbagal taluk and Regional project office at DECCAN HOSPITAL campus, Near K.S.R.T.C depot, Chintamani, Chintamani taluk.

Health Volunteers: Volunteers from nursing background Volunteers who knows the subject well, dealing with the patients of different ailments, able to manage the flow, time and medicine, cooperative and friendly with local community and environment, Age and gender has no bar but we prefer youth female volunteers. Volunteers may have the context of understanding the local language. Since youth can take much workload and may need to carry the responsibilities even in the late hours. They may not be having much health problems. Minimum: 4 Weeks Maximum: up to one year BESOIN SPéCIAL Health Volunteers: (Volunteers from nursing background and doctors in any Discipline) Volunteers for our ongoing rural development project Volunteers who knows the subject well: dealing with the patients of different ailments, able to manage the flow, time and medicine, cooperative and friendly with local community and environment. Age and gender has no bar but we prefer young female volunteers. It would be an advantage that the volunteers can understand the local language. Since youth can take much workload and may need to carry the responsibilities even in the late hours, volunteers should not have any health problems. Volunteer should bring: Mosquito repellent (can be bought in Bangalore), Light warm clothes for rainy weather and winter, Games, toys or ideas for activities for the children. The ICYE programme started in India in 1983. Inter Cultural Dialogue &Exchange – India, (ICDE – India), founded in 2006 by a group of former ICYE volunteers is a secular organisation, with its main office in Bangalore, Karnataka, India.

Programme
Voluntary service host placements, mostly in Karnataka and adjacent South Indian states, include homes for street children, orphanages, disabled, old age homes, people with HIV/AIDS, health care, agriculture / farming, women’s projects, rural and community development, etc. ICYE India, upon request, offers opportunities to learn/study yoga, Indian music and Indian classical dance, music, herbal medicine, Indian philosophy, spirituality.
