Leadership building through education and action. To empower the youth and adults to become effective citizens by providing opportunities in leadership, community service and exchange. Main Activities Intensive Leadership Camp. Weekend Leadership Training. School Based Training. SYL Youth Camp. Asia Pacific Summer Leadership Camp. Volunteer tasks There is much room for creativity for the volunteers as long as it is aligned to the values and directions of the programs and activities of the organization. More priority will be given to those who would want to get involved with Children and Youth Development and Community empowerment. Assist in the different leadership and socio-civic activities. Assist the trainers/facilitators in leadership and youth camp activities. Teach English and other subjects to children in the area. Mingle with the children/volunteers and other clients/partners without prejudice and to share also his/her experiences from the country where s/he came from.
The volunteer will live in the host project and will have the opportunity to live briefly with a host family living in close proximity of the organization.
Saceda Youth Lead is A Youth Serving Institution of the Philippines. It is a pioneering leadership consulting and a member of the Philippine Society for Training and Development. It is based in Barangay Balugo, Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental, Philippines. The City of Dumaguete is a city in the Philippine province of Oriental Negros. It is the capital city, principal seaport, and largest city of Oriental Negros. It has a population of 116,392 people. The city is nicknamed The City of Gentle People. Dumaguete is referred to as a university town because of the presence of seven universities and colleges, where students of the province converge to enrol for tertiary education. The city is also a popular educational destination for students of surrounding provinces and cities in Visayas and Mindanao. The Global Initiative for Exchange and Development Inc. (GIED) was established in 2015 with the primary aim to promote various meaningful collaborations in building local communities and empowering people to be partners in nation building. New breed but experienced social development professionals actively involved in different social development efforts in the Philippines and abroad conceptualized GIED. As a non-government and non-profit organization in the Philippines, GIED also seeks to establish its own relevance as it responds to the Philippinesâ€™ important national social policy frameworks and plans for sustainable human development. It is with this mindset that GIEDâ€™s advocacy on participation, empowerment, and development are emphasized to realize its vision on community development and global citizenship work. GIED aims to empower people-to-people connectivity through cross-cultural interaction and immersion within and across nations, international voluntary service and dynamic cooperation. GIED is an associate member of Network for Voluntary Development in Asia (NVDA), an official partner of the International Cultural Youth Exchange Federation (ICYE) and guest organization with Alliance of European Service Organizations. It is also a registered Youth Serving Organization of the National Youth Commission and a Resource Agency under the Department of Social Welfare and Development of the Philippine Government.
