Main Activities : To give academic help and organize extracurricular activities to children who work, mostly on the streets. Also, to support their families. Volunteer tasks : Be part of the team. Help with field trips and also various activities and summer camps that are held in August. Also help to plan and prepare various events for the parents.
South of Quito. (South) Chiriyacu, It is a neighborhood located at the southern part of Quito, it is a comercial area cause there is an important market near of this center. (Center) San Roque, it is located in downtown Quito, in a traditional-colonial area. It is a low income, its main activity is commerce. (North) Mariscal, it is located in a cosmopolitan neighborhood, full of clubs and restaurants.
A good motivation. At least a basic level of Spanish, preferably 22-25 years old, preferably experience in teaching, people who are willing to work with children from poor families. Minimum (weeks): 2 Maximum (weeks): 16. Fee of 370 € is for 4 weeks; each additional week is 65€. Project open all year, arrival date is free. Placement on this project is individual. As you will be working with children, you should bring clothing that can get dirty. As the climate of Ecuador is unpredictable, you should also bring both a rain coat and/or umbrella, and sun protection (sunscreen and a hat).
